On Query

Hopefully heading to the query trenches on January 1, 2026 is Bette's sixth finished book, THE PANGAEA PRISONER.

Pitched as gender-bent The Bourne Identity meets grounded Project Hail Mary with plot twist: the amnesia is self-inflicted.

Available Now:  Catching Feelings

In Orelia Kane’s friend group there’s one person she likes less than everyone else. And for five years she’s secretly been hoping that someone will confess they loathe Chris Immani as much as she does. So far, no dice. And that’s the problem, there’s really no reason not to love Chris. He’s handsome, interesting, and kind – except he’s still holding a grudge against her from their less-than-stellar first impression. When they’re forced to be dance partners for an upcoming wedding, avoiding Chris altogether becomes impossible. As much as she tries to remain indifferent to him, Orelia knows her dislike for Chris has only existed to hide a deeply wicked attraction, that despite her best efforts has never gone away. When Orelia learns that her attraction for Chris isn’t as one-sided as she’d once believed, all bets are off.

About Bette Tucker

I grew up on the lakeshore of Onekama, Michigan, a town so small it's technically classified as a village. With a graduating class of only thirty-two, I spent so much of my time fantasizing about a life bigger than the small town. Some of those fantasies were of travel, adventure, and romance, but many of them were fictional stories.

At the University of Michigan, I minored in creative writing because I couldn't shake my love for it. But although I studied from 2013-2016, I didn't finish my first book until 2018. Since then, I've written five books, none quite ready enough for publication, but incredibly fun and educational along the way.
